Thundercats Logo T-Shirt

Product Description

The original ThunderCats show was animated in Japan[1] while being produced, written and voice-acted in the United States. The series was originally distributed by Rankin-Bass Productions' then-parent company Telepictures Corporation, which would later merge with Lorimar Productions in 1986.[2] In 1989, Lorimar-Telepictures was purchased by and folded into Warner Bros., whose television syndication arm would eventually assume distribution of the show; Warner Bros. has had the rights to the series (and all Lorimar-Telepictures programming) from that point on. A little known fact about the catchy Thundercat's theme tune is that Mark Ronson co-wrote it when he was only around eight years old. His stepfather being Mick Jones from Foreigner, who raised him from the age of seven, meant that the house was always full of artists, particularly musicians and if you listen back to the quircky song you can here the early emergence of his trade mark uses of a brass section. Ronson recently adapted the song for a private party thrown to celebrate Benedict Cumberbatch's Brithday, using the voice of Michael Fassbender to sing 'Cumber Cumber Cumber Batch' in place of the original 'Thunder Thunder Thunder Thunder Cats'.
